# Projects and Workspaces

> Track physical Workspaces, manage logical Projects, and control Project visibility and primary paths.

Taskbean separates logical Projects from physical Workspaces. Read the [glossary](/concepts/glossary) before automating project management.

## Track a Workspace

```bash theme={"system"}
bean track
bean track --path ../another-checkout
bean track --name "Taskbean docs"
```

Remove a Workspace from tracking:

```bash theme={"system"}
bean untrack
bean untrack --path ../another-checkout
```

## Review Projects

```bash theme={"system"}
bean projects
bean projects --all
bean projects --hidden
```

## Organize visibility

```bash theme={"system"}
bean projects hide taskbean/docs
bean projects show taskbean/docs
bean projects categorize taskbean/docs --category documentation
bean projects categorize taskbean/docs --clear
```

## Delete Project metadata

```bash theme={"system"}
bean projects delete taskbean/docs --confirm --keep-files
```

`--confirm` is required. Add `--keep-files` when you only want to delete the Project database record.

Without `--keep-files`, Taskbean also removes the Workspace's `.taskbean.json` and installed Taskbean skill directories. It does not delete the checkout, worktree, or repository.
